Genset Synchronization System Upgrade with PMS & RTU Integration
As part of our ongoing commitment to energy reliability and intelligent infrastructure, we successfully executed a comprehensive upgrade of the Genset Synchronization System, integrating it with a modern Power Management System (PMS) and Remote Terminal Unit (RTU) architecture. This project was designed to enhance system automation, improve power quality, and ensure seamless generator coordination across the facility.
1. Power Quality Analysis & Feasibility Study
We began with a detailed assessment of the existing power infrastructure, focusing on:
• Voltage stability, harmonic distortion, and frequency deviations
• Load imbalance and transient behavior during switching events
• Feasibility of integrating PMS and RTU with legacy systems
2. Engineering Design & System Architecture
Our engineering team developed a robust synchronization and control strategy, including:
• Redundant synchronization logic for multiple gensets
• Custom PMS logic for load sharing, shedding, and priority-based dispatch
• RTU integration for real-time data acquisition, remote control, and SCADA interfacing
3. System Upgrade & Commissioning
• Replacement of outdated synchronizers with advanced digital controllers
• Integration of PMS with RTU and SCADA for centralized monitoring
• Testing and commissioning under various load scenarios to validate performance
• Improved synchronization accuracy and faster response during load transitions
• Enhanced visibility and control through PMS dashboards and RTU telemetry
• Optimized generator performance, reducing fuel consumption and wear
• Future-ready architecture for renewable integration and grid interaction
