Project Name:

Automation

Project Description:

As part of our commitment to supporting critical infrastructure within Qatar’s transportation sector, we successfully completed the restoration and recommissioning of the water treatment and control system at the Al Wakrah Depot, a key operational hub of the Doha Metro Green Line.

Project Scope of Work:

1. System Diagnostics & Fault Resolution

• Conducted a comprehensive assessment of the existing water treatment system, identifying control logic failures, sensor malfunctions, and flow inconsistencies • Repaired and recalibrated key components including pumps, valves, and dosing units to restore optimal process performance

2. Control System Rectification

• Reprogrammed the PLC-based control system to ensure accurate sequencing, alarm handling, and interlocks • Verified integration with the depot’s Building Management System (BMS) for centralized monitoring and control

3. Functional Testing & Commissioning

• Performed end-to-end testing of filtration, chemical dosing, and discharge systems under simulated and live load conditions • Validated water quality parameters and system responsiveness to ensure compliance with operational and environmental standards

Project Outcome:

• Restored full functionality of the water treatment system, ensuring uninterrupted depot operations

• Improved system reliability, automation, and safety through targeted control upgrades

• Delivered a cost-effective, performance-verified solution aligned with Qatar Rail’s sustainability and infrastructure goals
