3MW LPG Gas Power Plant – Generator Performance Optimization & Load Flow Study

Project Name:

Automation

Project Description:

As part of our commitment to operational excellence and energy efficiency, we successfully executed a comprehensive Generator Performance Optimization Test for a 3MW LPG Gas Power Plant. This project focused on enhancing system reliability, maximizing output, and ensuring balanced plant operation under varying load conditions.

Project Scope of Work:

1. Load Flow Study & System Analysis

We conducted a detailed load flow analysis to map the electrical distribution across the plant. This allowed us to:

• Identify bottlenecks and voltage drops • Optimize power factor and reactive power flow • Ensure balanced load distribution across feeders and generators

2. Generator Tuning & Output Optimization

Our engineering team fine-tuned the generator control parameters to achieve:

• Maximum mechanical and electrical efficiency • Stable synchronization with the plant’s load profile • Reduced fuel consumption and improved thermal performance

3. Balance of Plant (BoP) Coordination

We ensured seamless integration between the generator system and auxiliary components, including:

• Cooling systems • Fuel supply and regulation • Exhaust and emission controls

4. Load Fluctuation Case Study

A real-time case study was conducted to monitor and analyze load variation patterns. Key outcomes included:

• Identification of peak demand periods and transient load behavior • Recommendations for load shedding strategies and automation • Enhanced system resilience during sudden load changes

Project Outcome:

• Improved generator response time and load-sharing accuracy

• Increased overall plant efficiency and system stability

• Actionable insights for future capacity planning and automation upgrades
